NAPLAN (National Assessment Program- Literacy and Numeracy) is a national program used to measure the literacy and numeracy skills of students. It provides an indication of the literacy and numeracy skills of students at the time of the test. Data obtained provides feedback to the schools, states and territories as to how education programs are performing.
Students from Year Three and Year Five participate in the NAPLAN assessments in the areas of Language Conventions (Spelling and Grammar), Writing, Reading and Numeracy.
The 2017 dates are 9, 10 and 11 May.
