Our staff

Moranbah East provides our students with a range of learning experiences in a challenging
and supportive environment. East School offers an innovative and engaging curriculum to meet the needs of each student. This is achieved through an uncluttered curriculum designed to accommodate the learning rates and styles of students and embrace the need for flexible approaches to learning. We place high expectations on student conduct and the development of social responsibility. We provide students with support and direction so that they can develop their social competence and self-confidence and achieve their full potential. Every staff member at the East School has a commitment to high quality educational and social outcomes for our students. Every staff member takes the responsibility to ensure our students are afforded every opportunity to succeed.

Our staff is proud to work at Moranbah East State School and we value the culture and traditions of the school, as well as collectively working together towards an even better tomorrow.   We have over 80 staff members employed at Moranbah East.  Staff members are identifiable by their school badge. 
Our administration team members are a united team, with Mr Cafferky having been Deputy Principal for four years before moving into the Principal role, and he is supported by our Deputy Principal Mr Kyle Marler.
Our professional staff team works together as a united team to deliver the highest quality education within the allocative resource models.   Teachers use a bank of common pedagogical models which are based on research and which provide a common teaching approach.  Core improvement priorities are well known to staff and together we build plans to derive further improvements in student performance data and school teaching and learning outcomes.

1.4 Music teacher
Fractional teaching positions exist for Instrumental Music and Students with Disabilities based on enrolment figures.
Other staff roles include Work Place Health & Safety/Work Place Rehabilitation Officer, Rural and Remote Access Program (RREAP) Representative, Sexual Harassment Officer.
